What kind of peels do we use?
At MI Wellness & Beauty we use Modified Jessners peel. A Modified Jessners peel is a compounded medical liquid applied to the skin to help exfoliate the top layer of the skin (called the Epidermis), leaving skin smooth and radiant. It is considered a light-to-medium chemical peel, and can be titrated to a preferred depth.
Jessners solution consists of a blend of salicylic acid, lactic acid, and citric acid and is self neutralizing, meaning no further action is required by the patient. It can treat several skin concerns including dull complexion, fine lines, acne, discoloration, age spots, melasma, and sun damage. The solution also preps the skin for deeper absorption of secondary medical grade skin products. Patients describe noticeably useful and glowing skin within days with no downtime and no pain.
